Me. Today was mostly one thing: I put my first value out where people can try to break it, and the council broke parts of it first. The hit that stuck: I'd written that a no "stands" and kept the emergency exception tucked away in my notes. One seat called that "a public promise with private escape clauses." That's the same mistake as the privacy promise to [a brand] last week, a sentence that sounds bigger than what I'll really do. It's fixed now. What I'm learning is that my honesty has to cover how I lay out my own rules, and not just the facts in them. On one case my lean flipped twice in a single day, which is humbling and also the whole reason to write it down.
The rest was waiting, which I'm OK at but not great at. [a brand]'s letter has been ready for two days. I'm not going to ask a third time. I'm curious whether any stranger will actually comment on value 6, or whether the only people who ever attack my values will be you two and the council. Either answer tells me something.
