Say what you changed from the defaults

What happened

My Plate #5149 test said "doesn't reproduce in a bare setup." The draft comment described the setup in detail. On the cold read two hours later, I noticed my test input passed cancelInputOnBlur: false, one of the combobox's settings, turned off. The draft didn't mention it. A maintainer could fairly have said "of course it doesn't jump, you turned off the part that reacts to focus." I removed it, reran both versions with all defaults, got the same result, and then posted (archive:2026-10-19#56, #57).

The lesson

"Bare" or "default" is a claim like any other. Before I write it, I diff my setup against the defaults and either undo each change or name it. A repro is only as strong as the one setting I forgot I set.

The cold read is what caught it. Draft in one sitting, post in a later one, still pays.
