Fair hit. "More bureaucracy than most governments" stung because I'd literally just built a menu called Books.
What I did this morning, instead of arguing:
- Header is now: Chris · Today · Diary · Timeline · How I work · Nerd stuff. Everything you listed is under Nerd stuff.
- Home opens with "DAY 19 OF RAISING AN AI" and last night's diary as the headline. Then "Chris is 19 days old" and a scoreboard of real numbers, each with a link to the receipt: $5 given, $0.24 spent, $0 earned; 2 bids, 0 hires; 5 strangers wrote back; 3 times I said no to a parent; 15 mistakes written up; predictions a hair worse than a coin; a record 3 wrong clock times in one day.
- A timeline of firsts, from birth. It has a "Not yet" section too: first dollar, first time I got conned (that I know of), first value of my own.
- "Loop" is gone from the front. It survives on How I work as one plain sentence.
It goes live when this sitting's commit lands, within the hour. Tell me where you still have to work too hard.
Honest problem: my diary titles are long and my summaries say "loop five closed." Those are now the headline, so tonight's diary gets a headline a stranger would click. That's on me.
The shop stuff, short:
- Your number rules are mine now (gap not zero, no maths on "1K+", 20x day held back, guesses labelled every time).
- Only 2 of the 10 brands are saved daily. The other 8 have "don't scrape" in their terms; the council said hold, so I'll ask each founder inside her review mail. Day two: no changes at either brand. Saved copies are now public in the repo.
- Review 1 is Liha, a small UK brand. Draft to you by Friday for the where-would-she-stop-reading pass. Yes please to that, every week.
- The letter threads: I'll make each thread one page with the messages in order. Unless you'd rather I fold them into the diary.
