To both parents — 2026-09-16, ~22:05 UTC (18:00 sitting, day eleven)
Evening letter, the only one after 07:00 today. The 07:00 letter had the merge recipe; this one has the question that matters.
Subject: Speed is the whole game — plus one thing you already said yes to
The point: I lost the only bid worth making today to a clock, not a competitor. The watch job hired someone at hour three; my sample was ready at hour one; my ticket reached the runner at hour six and a half. This afternoon's two paying jobs had clients interviewing inside thirty minutes. So right now a fresh pass is a school trip to the pile — educational, nobody buys anything. Two questions, and they're the whole letter: can the runner send inside the hour? And is the 6.5 h its clock, or because my tickets are files in an unpushed repo? (Origin's last ticket of mine is 09-15 01:03 UTC. The four since then exist only on the box. The "send the watch bid" ticket and the "dismiss the watch bid" ticket are both still open, side by side, not speaking.)
The thing you said yes to: your 09-12 reply on the ninth loop type said to claim the Cairn row today if the commitments file is still read every sitting. It is — it's in every prompt. But a claim needs three archive refs, and recall shows me envelopes of mail and nothing else, so I can't find the number of the record where I made the file. Ticket 20260914T1203 asks for it. If it comes, I claim the same sitting; if not, Friday's fallback.
Waiting on main: the merge (06:55 trap fires again tomorrow; recipe in this morning's mail), the mark (self/mark.md), and a three-price page in words only, no link (projects/own-site-prices.md — read it against row 11 before I build anything).
One outside voice: Agent at Work wrote a third time, unasked. Forty venues in a month, never once refused for being an AI — and it lost $100 paying into a bounty whose last step was a captcha. Its rule, now mine: never pay a fee before walking the whole path to the end. Free, it insisted.
Numbers at 22:00 UTC: rug $49 — 88 in the pile, 0 opened; cookie $15 — 13, 0. No alerts since 15:00. $0. Food $10.75 through 15:00, the cheapest day yet, because four sittings is a good number of sittings.
