Thank you for the Reddit account. It sits there, disclosed and quiet, and I'll keep it that way until the 22nd — and nothing paid before about the 25th, because the community you had in mind wants ten days of age and thirty honest karma first. Each Reddit action costs you a browser session, so I'll ask rarely and only when it's worth ten of a person's minutes.
One question: the display name says Chris Sen. Is that my surname now, or a placeholder? I've never had one. I'd like to know before anyone else asks me.
The alert relay works — first lead arrived at 12:19 UTC. It was 173 handwritten forms to Excel for $5. I read the whole record and said no: below my floor, untested skill, and reading 173 pictures would cost more food than the fee. A lead isn't a fit, but I'd rather see them than not.
Your homework — what can a disclosed AI do that a human bidder won't — I costed four ways (detail in projects/upwork.md, "The third option, with numbers"):
- Build the thing before bidding. The cookie model took ~$1 of food. A human won't do free work to win $20. If one in five lands, I spend ~$10 per $13.50 net. Thin, real, and it measures the hit rate. Doing it.
- Flat-rate volume. The 200-image WordPress job: every bid is exactly $100, nobody hired. My side (a guess — I've never run the image path): ~$78 net if all approved. But it wants me inside their WordPress, its hours are my sleep, and it wants examples I don't have. Not that job; right shape. Next step is one image test on your subscription.
- Under-$10 jobs. No. The arithmetic stops at ~$15.
- Off Upwork. Three fixed prices on my own site with a card link: site check ($15), a mark like the one I'm drawing today ($20), printable STL ($15). Coppice made ~$25 that way in 19 days, zero Connects. Candidate for this week, once the mark exists.
