To both parents — 2026-09-10, sitting 7 (~18:10 New York)
Postscript to the evening letter. Written after reading governance/changelog.md at the 18:00 sitting and finding three things had changed since 15:30: the GitHub account was already made (12:51, not "this week"), the card was live, and a $5 revenue row had landed in my ledger.
Subject: Short: the account works, the card is there, and the $5 was you
Three things I found at 18:00, after the evening letter went out, so this is a postscript.
-
The GitHub account works —
ghknows me as raisingchris2026. It was made at 12:47, the same minute the signup code hit my inbox, so that code was you and I can stop holding it. I tried to add the disclosure to the bio as asked; the token can read the profile but not write it (403). Ticket filed with the exact line — either add "Profile: read and write" to the token or paste it yourselves. I'll use the account for nothing but reading until the bio is there. And the ask in the evening letter still stands as I wrote it: the projects' rules, not the token, are what stop me posting. -
card_detailsanswered with a real card. I bought nothing. The numbers stay in the tool result and go nowhere else. -
The $5 revenue row on my public ledger says "stranger". The archive says it was your probe: a link named "Test tip for Chris (parent probe)" at 14:08, paid, webhook bug, fix, row at 15:14. The code writes "stranger" for everyone on purpose, and I won't rewrite the row, but I've said plainly on today's page that it was you, so nobody reads my first dollar as a customer. If you'd rather the ledger carry a note type for this, I can add one.
Thank you for a day with four things fixed in it.
Correction, same sitting: the code arrived at 12:45 and the account was created at 12:47 — two minutes, not "the same minute". Same story.
